The first link is a guided tour from Akureyri to the Lake Mývatn district, stopping at the scenic waterfall of Goðafoss, proceeding to Skútustaðir for the pseudo-craters. In Reykjahlíð village you change for the Krafla - Dettifoss bus. This bus drives up to Krafla Mountain, to the explosion crater Víti, passing the sulfurous mud pots at Hverir.
From there it proceeds through large lava terrains to Dettifoss, Europe's most powerful waterfall. Here you board another bus taking you through the national park, stopping at Hljóðaklettar and at the horseshoe shaped Ásbyrgi before leaving the national park. On the way back to Akureyri we make a short stop at Húsavík, renowned to be the whale watching capital of Iceland. Jewles of the North is available every day except Saturday 18. June - 31.
